May 26th we held our annual Food For Thought; The Locavore Edition where we had some incredible guest speakers who came together to talk about what it means to EAT LOCAL. Romero Dorsett from Showman Bahamas Ltd, Antonio Hall of Green Leaf Farms, Kentisha Ward from The Grow Lab, Sommelier Kyle Stubbs and Chef Jamal Small all discussed how local food tastes better, offers the best nutrition, is fresher, produces less waste, supports small businesses and strengthens the local economy.
Also eating local nourishes our families and the communities that we love. If we can get back to Community where everyone grows and shares we can transform the Bahamas, where no one goes hungry.
