In 2020, Hands for Hunger continued to provide food to people facing food insecurity in New Providence. Due to the negative impact of the Global COVID-19 Pandemic we adapted our operations to meet the increased demand for food assistance. Our dedication to innovation, safety and nutrition led to us providing over 100,000 food packages and almost $1,000,000 in digital food vouchers throughout 2020. Thanks to supporters like you, persons islandwide are receiving surplus food, canned goods, and fresh produce because of the work that we do, along with the partner agencies we serve. COVID-19 Response

For the past 12 years, Hands for Hunger has been committed to tackling food insecurity in The Bahamas. Our focus has been on the collection of fresh surplus food which we distributed to feeding agencies, shelters, senior citizens’ homes, and children’s homes across New Providence.

The rise of the Covid-19 pandemic completely disrupted our operations and forced us to adapt quickly in order to serve not only our regular recipients but also, the increased number of families who were now facing food insecurity.
